Our Mission

Our Story

Guidance by Champions was created with a simple yet profound purpose: to be the advisor we wish we had when we were younger. As a high school athlete, I captained my lacrosse team my senior year with a state playoff appearance, yet I never had the opportunity to be seen by college coaches. This lack of guidance meant I missed out on offers to play in college, and it left a lasting impact on me. Later in life, as I took roles in coaching that led me to winning multiple championships as a college coach at the athletic scholarship level, I again found myself without the support I needed to navigate those new challenges.

The inspiration to start Guidance by Champions came when I saw athletes being pressured into accepting predatory offers that could lead to long-term financial burdens. I wanted to create a service that not only helps athletes avoid these traps but also provide support and advice to coaches and athletic directors across high schools and colleges.

My journey in coaching was shaped by mentors like AJ Stevens, Brittany Frankenfield, Mike Walter, David Bresser, and Rob Miller, some of whom allowed me to be a part of their programs and experience the thrill of early success. Their influence, coupled with my own experiences, led me to build a company where everyone-not just a select few- can access the guidance of retired champion coaches.
